Fix Most Issues
These three fixes resolve a big share of the repair requests we see — worth two minutes before you fill out the form.
Pump won't turn on? Reset your GFCI.
Press the reset button on your GFCI outlet (or outlet adapter), then plug the pump back in. Power surges and rain trip these regularly — it's the most common "broken pump" we see.
Weak flow? Clean the cartridge.
If water flow is weaker than normal or your pressure gauge reads 5–10 psi higher than usual, remove the filter cartridge and spray it down top-to-bottom with a garden hose. Never use a pressure washer.
Humming but not pumping? Check the impeller.
Unplug the pump, then check the pump basket and impeller for debris — a pebble or leaf jam is often the culprit behind a humming motor that won't move water.
