What's Covered

Installation Workmanship 30 Days

Any installation performed by our team will be free from workmanship defects for 30 days from your installation date. This includes improperly connected plumbing or equipment, leaks at the inlet/outlet due to misalignment or improper sealing, and equipment improperly mounted or supported.

Eligibility: applies to customers in the Austin or Houston metro areas where Cowboy Pools professional installation is available.

Filter Pump 1 Year

All filter pumps provided with your pool are covered by the manufacturer's 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Warranty documentation is included with your product โ€” and we're happy to help initiate claims or troubleshoot issues.

Heaters & Chillers 1โ€“3 Years

Heaters and chillers purchased through Cowboy Pools are covered by their manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects:

  • TempTamer (110v heater/chiller): 1-year manufacturer's warranty
  • Crosswind 50-I (heater/chiller): 3-year manufacturer's warranty

We'll help troubleshoot your unit and facilitate a manufacturer claim โ€” start with a repair request so our team has photos and details up front.

Inflatable Pool Cover 90 Days

Each inflatable Cowboy Pool Cover includes a 90-day warranty covering leaks or failures due to manufacturer defects or shipping damage.

  • To maintain eligibility, the cover must be fully inflated within 90 days of delivery to verify integrity.
  • All covers include a patch kit for minor repairs due to wear and tear over time.
  • Over-pressurizing, dragging, or storing in direct sun while deflated may void the warranty.

About the Tank

Galvanized stock tanks do not carry a manufacturer warranty โ€” that's true across the industry. The Cowboy Pool is engineered around this: our custom polyethylene liner keeps your water separated from the steel, which is why the rust and corrosion issues that plague traditional stock tank pools are dramatically reduced in a Cowboy Pool. Learn more in our rust & longevity FAQ.

Cowboy Care Plans

Want added peace of mind? Our optional Cowboy Care Plans offer hassle-free coverage for repairs and priority service, currently available in the Austin area โ€” including extended support beyond the standard 30-day installation window and coverage for certain accessories.

DIY Customers & Kit Installations

Customers who purchase DIY Kits or install Cowboy Pools via third-party contractors are responsible for proper setup and operation. Cowboy Pools does not warranty DIY installation or workmanship, but provides install videos, guides, support documentation, and email-based troubleshooting and setup assistance. Our team is always here to help โ€” but we can't be liable for installation issues we didn't perform.

What's Not Covered

  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, fading, patina, etc.)
  • Water chemistry damage due to improper balancing or incompatible treatments (e.g., salt in galvanized steel tanks)
  • Leaky hoses or fittings that become loose post-installation
  • Electrical or plumbing issues caused by third-party modifications
  • Damage from external events like freezing, flooding, or landscaping shifts

Care & Maintenance Requirements

Maintaining your Cowboy Pool is easy โ€” but essential. Customers must keep water balanced using the Cowboy Pools water care guide, inspect and tighten fittings and hoses regularly, clean filters routinely, and store inflatable covers and accessories properly.

Failure to follow basic care procedures may void applicable warranties.

Warranty Limitations

  • Warranties apply only to the original purchaser and are non-transferable
  • Products must be used as intended and not modified without authorization
  • Cowboy Pools reserves the right to request inspection or proof of damage

Disclaimer & Liability Limits

Cowboy Pools is not liable for incidental or consequential damages including (but not limited to) water or property damage, loss of enjoyment or time, commercial disruption, or improper chemical use. In no event shall Cowboy Pools' liability exceed the original purchase price of the product or service.

Whether you're under warranty or just have a question about your setup, we're here long after your pool is installed.
